ZOOM IN
May 4 – May 28, 2012
Opening Night Reception, Friday May 4, 6 to 9pm
Imogen Holloway Gallery is pleased to announce its inaugural exhibition “Zoom In” from May 4 - May 28. The gallery's first show features the work of 13 artists from the Hudson Valley, New York City and beyond. April Berger’s color-drenched striped oils, Christopher Albert’s elegant paintings on discarded wood, Harry Roseman’s languid draped cloth in clay, Brian Lynch’s furtive street views and Matthew Magee’s crisp abstracts all tease the viewer in for a closer look, while the generous boutique windows host site-specific installations by Norm Magnusson and Barb Smith.
Each work, modest in scale, tells an intimate story: no screaming or splash, just fresh strong work that’s able to stand on it’s own. “Zoom In” brings together a wide variety of contemporary work, some from the Hudson Valley, some imported, all exquisitely executed examples of deep personal vision.
